About this escape room game
The Alchemist's Crucible is a free online escape room game for expert players, played entirely in your browser: no download, no signup. The master alchemist has vanished and sealed his cliff-top tower — with you, his apprentice, inside it. Pass his ten trials of matter and fire, climb down before midnight, and do not still be in the tower when the great crucible bursts.
Rated ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Expert on the ESCAPE10 difficulty ladder, this room gives NO hints — the master taught you everything you need, and he is not repeating himself. The trials are multi-step, decoy clues are worked into the apparatus, and answers chain door to door: a result from one trial becomes an ingredient in the next. Expect to think like an alchemist — elements, measures, transformations — and expect the tower to punish guessing. Paper and pencil are not cheating here; they are equipment.
Complete all ten trials and the tower lets you go. Nobody has escaped The Alchemist's Crucible yet — the winners board is empty and the #1 crown is unclaimed. Two Expert rooms exist on this site, and the players who finish either one are remembered. Door 1 is lit. Mind the glassware.
