How It Works — 10 Doors, 10 Answers, One Escape

Choose a room and open Door 1. Each door shows you a short video of the room you are locked in. The answer to every door is a single word, and it is always hidden inside what you can see — a picture, a sign, a pattern, a sound. Type the word into the answer box: the right word swings the door open; the wrong word just rattles the lock, and you try again. There is no timer and no penalty for wrong answers. Your progress saves on your own device, so you can walk away and come back to the same door later.

Stuck? The Easy, Medium and Hard rooms carry built-in hints for when a door stalls you. The Expert rooms carry none — those doors you open alone, or not at all. In the Expert rooms the answers also chain: what you earn at one door can be the key to a later one.
