You are Wren Halden, a volunteer mountain rescuer. You came to this snowy cabin to shelter from a sudden blizzard — and you found a note saying a stranded hiker left word here and is waiting for a signal from the ridge road.
Your mission is to warm the cabin, reach the woodshed, light your lantern, and open the back door so you can carry that signal out to the ridge road.
Every code and clue is saved in your notebook automatically. Hints are free and only affect your rank. The timer only measures your play — it never ends the game.
Tip: tap an item in your bag first, then tap the thing it should be used on. Every step is signposted in the message bar.
“If the storm locks you in, do not panic. Warm the cabin first — a cold stove helps nobody.
Firewood is by the wall, matches are on the mantel. Light the stove and the ice on the windowsill will melt. The brass key inside opens the woodshed door.
In the shed, clear the snow with the shovel. Fill your lantern with the oil on the shelf. Then open the back door.
The back door code is 2 — 8 — 5. Carry the lit lantern to the ridge road, and the hiker's friends will see you. — Old Sam”

Tap each dial to change its number. The code is written in the caretaker's note in the cabin — and in your notebook.
Set the three numbers, then tap Try the code.
Everything the game has told you, saved here so you never need to memorise it:
The back door swings open and cold, clean air rushes in. You step out with your lantern burning bright, and from the ridge road an answering light blinks back — the hiker's friends have seen your signal.
Inside, the stove still glows warm. Outside, help is now on its way. The question you walked in with — could one lit lantern be enough? — is answered: yes. One steady light, carried through the storm, was enough.
