You are Ada Whitfield, the night archivist of the Grand Meridian Theatre.
At closing time the theatre went dark — and the only complete copy of its final play, The Midnight Rehearsal, vanished from the archive. The playwright's ghost-light still burns on the empty stage, and the morning company arrives at dawn. If the final act is not found, the play can never be performed again.
Your mission is to recover the missing final act manuscript before dawn, by following the clues the old company left behind in every room of the theatre.

Lobby story beat: the theatre closed for the night, but the box office was left in a hurry — a drawer forced shut, a poster torn, a coat never collected. Somebody was here after closing, looking for the same manuscript you are.
Stage story beat: the set for the final act is still standing, the ghost light still burning — theatre tradition says it keeps the theatre safe when empty. Someone rehearsed here alone, after closing, and left the prompt book behind.
Backstage story beat: this is where the company hid things in plain sight. The stage manager ran the whole theatre from one desk, and every rope and costume had its place. Disorder here is a message, not an accident.
Dressing-room story beat: Vivienne, the leading actor, never left without her ritual — and never left a mirror message for anyone but the company. Her room holds the last personal clue, written where only another actor would look.
Projection-booth story beat: the projectionist saw everything and said nothing. His booth is the theatre's memory — reels, ledgers, and one safe that only the company's own star-code can open.
