⏰ The Clockmaker's Workshop

You are Wren Ashford, apprentice clockmaker to Master Aldous Thorne of Thornwick.

Last night Aldous vanished, the town's great Heart Clock stopped at midnight, and every clock in Thornwick froze with it. The bakers' ovens, the ferry bell, the school bell — a town that runs on time has lost its heartbeat.

Your mission is to restart the Heart Clock before dawn, and find out what Aldous was hiding inside it. Search five rooms, rebuild what was taken apart, and follow the four marks Aldous left behind.

Hints are free and only affect your rank. Your progress saves automatically. The timer measures your play — it never ends your game.

The Heart Beats Again

You wind the Heart Clock. Gears catch. The pendulum swings. A deep, warm chime rolls out of the tower — once, twice, twelve times — and across Thornwick, frozen clocks shudder back to life.

Lights come on in the bakery. The ferry bell rings. In the workshop window, a final note from Aldous appears in the lamplight: he did not vanish. He stepped inside the Heart Clock's rhythm to hide its secret from thieves — and he left the workshop to the one apprentice who would listen to it, note by note. That apprentice is you.

The opening question is answered: Aldous hid the Heart Clock's true winding order in four marks, and hid himself in the work, trusting Wren to finish it before dawn. Thornwick wakes on time — because you did.
